When I am in Alicante, I like staying here. The hotel is reasonably clean and has competent staff. Make sure to get double room with bedroom, a sea-view, for instance. It has excellent and perfect location close to Puerto Deportivo Marina. Close to the venue there are restaurants and bars. A very nice restaurant for both the breakfast buffet and dinner is available.
